IN SPACE!

I have spent a couple minutes this morning amusing myself by adding, "In Space!" to the titles of certain classics.

Pride and Prejudice In Space!
And its cousin Pride and Prejudice and Zombies In Space!
King Lear In Space!
Richard III In Space!
Pirates of Penzance In Space!
The Mikado In Space!
Lorna Doone In Space!
Tristan and Isolde In Space!
Beowulf In Space!

I like to imagine King Lear saying, "Divide we our kingdom in three," while holding a map of the solar system, and Reagan and Goneril wedded to alien monarchs. And "poor Tom's a-cold," while wearing a space suit.

And come to think of it...zombies have been done to death (ha ha) but have there ever been zombies in space?

I have been reading through my NaNoWriMo novel. Usually I cringe when I read through first drafts, but I am actually enjoying it. I can think of some places where I could tighten up the prose and change a couple of word choices, but other than that I am very pleased with myself.

What other titles would sound great with "In Space!" tacked on at the end?

  2. I guess this is better than that childhood favorite of adding "in the bathtub" after every title.
