Sometimes I refer to myself as a hippie, although The Husband doesn't really think this is accurate. As Mormons, we don't do the free love thing, nor are we into mind altering substances. Nor are we radically anti-establishment (we're only a little anti-establishment).
However, as an extended breastfeeding, cloth-diapering, pesticide and GMO-hating, homebirth envying lady who rarely wears makeup and goes around barefoot a lot of the time, well...I feel a need to find an adjective to describe that.
Crunchy? No...Insane? Maybe. But not really. So what does that make me? A reformed hippie perhaps? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Crunchy or crispy. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, currently Mormons are only a little bit anti-establishment. And even then it's only some of the Mormon groups. (Notably the largest.) Back in the day, though...
ReplyDeleteOur friends call themselves the "reluctant hippies." Maybe a conservative hippie? Granola? I'd say granola.
